A global meeting on marine search and rescue is hosted for the first time in Greece by the Hellenic Rescue Team. It is the Annual meeting of the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF), which will take place in Thessaloniki.

After 17 years as a member of the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR), HRT had the honour and pleasure to host for the first time in Greece the International Commission for Alpine Rescue Congress

The Hellenic Rescue Team, with 30 years of history in mountain rescue in Greece, is hosting this year, for the first time in the country, the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR) Congress, which will be held from 15 to 20 October 2024, in Thessaloniki (Grand Hotel Palace).

In the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair framework, HRT organised an event on forest fires and First Aid for burns and smoke inhalation.

HRT is honored to be hosting the annual convention of the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) which will take place in Thessaloniki, in November 2024.

More than five hundred delegates from all over the world are expected to participate in the International Congress for Alpine Rescue by the International Comission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR), which will be hosted by the Hellenic Rescue Team in Thessaloniki, in October 2024.

The Hellenic Rescue Team and the partners of the European Project SILVANUS will organize an open workshop on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 18.00, at the Thessaloniki Municipality (Manolis Anagnostakis Hall), to present the project and the digital technologies developed within its framework for the effective management of forest fires.

More than 70 stakeholders, partners and HRT volunteers participated in the pilot exercise, which simulated an aircraft crush, conducted on Saturday, November 12th on Mount Chortiatis, in Thessaloniki. The pilot was part of the H2020 European Project "Search & Rescue".

Effective training practices are essential for professionals and volunteers that engage in Search and Rescue operations. They can enhance the capabilities of responders by preparing them to face critical situations while maximising their safety during missions.

The award was offered to HRT for its volunteers heroic acts and the overwhelming effort they made, risking their lives in order to save human lives at the sea

The boats have participated in 17 search and rescue missions at sea within a year

"Nansen", "Odin", "Europe" and "Aegean" are the names of the four new rescue boats of the Hellenic Rescue Team (HRT)

The conference will take place in Dubai from 21st to 23rd March

Lecture on 'Islam: Fear and ignorance' is organized by Hellenic Rescue Team in Thessaloniki, on Sunday the 26th of June , 2016

"Norway 1" is the name of the new rescue boat of the Hellenic Rescue Team,  that was "baptized" yesterday afternoon in Kos Marina.

This year, just like any other year since 1994, the Hellenic Rescue Team is pleased to participate to the 80th Thessaloniki International Fair, held in the TIF showroom, from Saturday 5 to Sunday, September 13, 2015.

"Norway II" was donated to the Hellenic Rescue Team with funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue (RS)
