Hellenic Rescue Team at the Thessaloniki International Fair

This year, just like any other year since 1994, the Hellenic Rescue Team is pleased to participate to the 80th Thessaloniki International Fair, held in the TIF showroom, from Saturday 5 to Sunday, September 13, 2015.

The Hellenic Rescue Team will be located at stand 13 (left commercial TIF entrance) in B07 open space, with a full group of volunteers, while at the same time providing First Aid throughout all the events and concerts of the International Fair, if needed.

The Hellenic Rescue Team will welcome visitors to the stand with events and happenings, not only to inform them about the team’s activity, its educational programs and humanitarian action, but also give them the opportunity to win prizes.

Specifically, from September 5^th to 13^th, the public visiting the HRT booth will have the opportunity to participate for free in prize promotions and get on the action "Get Part" going on a training ride in Thessaloniki’s old Beach area, aboard ??the HRT rescue boat.

Also, on Sunday’s September 13^th afternoon, visitors can watch free First Aid presentation at the Hellenic Rescue Team’s booth, while on Wednesday, September 9 evening, Managing Board and members welcome HRT friends at a night for those who support us.

At the same time, throughout the duration of the International Fair, volunteer rescuers from Mountain Rescue Department will present mountain rescue procedures in a specially designed space, in which stand visitors will occasionally participte.

This year especially, the Hellenic Rescue Team, responding to the need for humanitarian assistance to refugees facing survival problems, gather at their offices from September 14 to October 14, food and basic necessities, which will be distributed to migrants and especially children. Those who wish to help in HRT’s endeavor, can be informed in detail from our volunteers at the booth of Greek Rescue Team, while alternatively, they can support our action by purchasing annual HRT calendars.

From the calendar sale, an amount will be allocated for the purchase of humanitarian aid.

It is worth noting that the action "Get Part" is a courtesy of the company ATS INFORMATICS, while the HRT participation in TIF is supported by Samiotakis Catering.
