SAR mission for refugees in Lesvos A SAR mission for refugees is being conducted now in Mytilene, Lesvos, at the sea area near the airport. HRT Lesvos was alarmed by the Coast Guard at 10.40 and a rescue crew with HRT's boat was immediately out in the sea. A pregnant woman was rescued and transferred safely ashore, but the operation is still in progress. According to information, the plastic boat, used by the refugees, was overloaded and capsized. Refugee flows have been extremely high today, so HRT Lesvos will be on guard all day long. Hellenic Rescue Team would like to warmly thank Aegean Airlines, Hellenic SeaWays and SHELL for their support in all efforts and rescue operations at the Aegean Sea.
