Contribution of Chios H.R.T. to a touristic ship with mechanical failure

Yesterday at 11:30am HRT Chios received a call for help from the Chios Coast Guard about the touristic ship “Evangelistria” that faced a mechanical failure inside the island’s port.
Before leaving the port, the ship with 43 passengers on board, noticed a mechanical failure and without being able to reapproach the pier and to disembark the passengers, asked for the Coast Guard’s contribution which then, called the Chios H.R.T. The response of the Stand-by Base was immediate and both boats, “EIRINI” and “ATHINA” arrived immediately at the incident and as a result at 12:05pm all passengers had being disembarked with safety to the dock in front of the Coast Guard.
