Humanitarian Aid of the Hellenic Rescue Team to the refugees in Idomeni

The Hellenic rescue team organised the delivery and distribution of humanitarian aid to refugees in the border of the Greek-Skopian area.

With the help of citizens, organizations and companies,  the Hellenic Rescue Team since early September has been gathering items for refugees, including juices, dry food, long life milk, personal hygiene items and medical supplies; an amount of which, was handed over to 2,000 immigrants and refugees on Monday 28th of September in the camp, set up in the Idomeni region.

The group of the HRT, which visited the region, was consisting of 20 volunteers who assisted also in the distribution of all items that were collected from other bodies and citizens groups. It is worth mentioning that in the area of Idomeni, they are also involved and offer assistance, other voluntary organizations.

The Hellenic Rescue Team will continue to gather humanitarian assistance to their offices located on  Emmanouil Pappas street, no 5 (Voulgaris area) until October 14th and will travel soon again in to the area to assist the region towards our fellowmen.

The humanitarian aid collection campaign, by the Hellenic Rescue Team, is being supported by  the "Radio Thessaloniki", which we take the opportunity to sent our warmest regards!
